SECTION 01Who we are
Global Deal Inc. ("GDI", "we", "us") is a physical commodity trading and sourcing business with its head office at Cnr 12th Avenue & Rivonia Boulevard, Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
For the purposes of POPIA, GDI is the responsible party for the personal information described in this notice. This notice applies to www.globaldealinc.com, to exchange.globaldealinc.com (the GDI Exchange), and to enquiries we receive by email, telephone or WhatsApp.
SECTION 02What we collect, and why
We collect only what we need to answer a commercial enquiry and to conduct a trade lawfully.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the site is not directed at them. We do not collect special personal information as defined in POPIA.
SECTION 03Our lawful basis
We process personal information because one or more of the following applies:
- You have given consent by submitting an enquiry or creating an account.
- Processing is necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you.
- Processing is required to comply with a legal obligation, including counterparty screening, sanctions checks and record-keeping.
- Processing serves our legitimate business interests in responding to trade enquiries, protecting our systems and preventing fraud.
SECTION 04Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share it only where a trade requires it:
- Suppliers and producers — the commercial requirement, and the contact details needed to quote or ship. Never more than the transaction needs.
- Screening providers — company and individual names are checked against published sanctions and politically exposed person lists.
- Service providers — our email delivery provider, our web host, and our analytics provider, each acting as an operator under our instruction.
- Banks, inspection agencies, freight forwarders and customs authorities — where a transaction requires it.
- Regulators, auditors or law enforcement — where we are legally obliged to disclose.
SECTION 05Cross-border transfers
Because we trade internationally, personal information may be transferred outside South Africa — for example to a supplier, inspection agency or service provider in another country. Where we do this we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is subject to laws, binding rules or a contract that provide an adequate level of protection, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

When a retention period ends we delete or de-identify the information.
SECTION 07How we protect it
Both websites are served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Access to enquiry and account data is restricted to the people who need it to do their work. Forms are rate-limited and protected against automated abuse. Should a security compromise occur that affects personal information, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected individuals as required by section 22 of POPIA.
SECTION 08Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies that record an anonymous visitor identifier. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The GDI Exchange sets one strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in; without it the Exchange cannot function.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site or submit an enquiry.
SECTION 09Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained.
- Object to processing on reasonable grounds.
- Withdraw consent at any time, though this does not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we can no longer quote or trade with you.
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email, using the link in every message we send.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@globaldealinc.com with "POPIA request" in the subject line. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.

We may update this notice as our business or the law changes. The version number and effective date at the top of this page will always tell you which version applies. Material changes affecting registered Exchange users will be notified by email.
